42nd Birthday 17 September 2005
Celebrated by Christine, Curt & Emily, Dave, Donna & Eric, Janet & Matt, Lisa, Mike, Richard, Steven, Trisha, and me, Wendy Renee. These are just some of my random memories; many people contributed to the party in various ways. Click on most images for a larger view.
Emily, Richard, Trisha, and Mike, who cooked us fresh abalone he'd caught that very morning. Donna (not pictured) was our hostess. She decorated, made kabobs and other tasty foods, and took most of these pictures.
Lisa baked an extremely chocolate birthday cake! Steven and Lisa risk immolation to light all 42 "sparking" glitter-candles.
The guests risk disease, as Wendy braves the sparks and blows out the candles... over and over again... before collaping into frustrated laughter.

I was happy to get numerous good book recommendations (such as Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell,) from Janet and Matt, who keeps an informal reading blog.
