As a test message, just thought I'd share that our flight out of LaGuardia was delayed
in boarding by a half hour, and sat on the runway for an additional hour and a half.
Not a problem, though, and we were glad to
get home almost on time and with all our luggage. It was a great trip - still processing all that we did. Lynn

Lucky you; when I reached the Frontier desk at LaGuardia, I found out that the flight SAA had booked to Denver was void because they didn't have an "agreement" with Frontier. Hence, my only recourse was to try and fly to Atlanta, then back up to Denver. So, I paid full-fare to Denver leaving at 5:30 pm, grabbed a room at the Crowne Plaza to refresh, and stumbled into my house nine hours late and $1000 poorer. Thanks, SAA! BTW, the Frontier people were wonderful...

Hi,
We had a LONG delay at LaGuardia. The flight left the gate on time, but then because of weather we were held up on the runway....after more than an hour of that they took us back to the gate, gave us lunch and then we waited for some addl people to board who were on the next flight out to Milw (which was going to be cancelled). All in all we arrived in Milw 5 hours later than expected.
And Darryl....it seems that return trip just wasn't meant to be an easy one for you no matter what! My suggestion....next time get the trip insurance.

Gee you guys went through hell on the way home. Did your luggage get back to you okay?

After I hit JFK I got a flight to Las Vegas (kid kicking tray behind me) and thence to San Francisco (both 100% full flights) arriving home 36 hours after our departure from Zambia. Yawn.

Did anyone get their shoes fumigated or anything like that, for ticking the box "was on farm outside of the US"?

Renee

We weren't on a farm either, and all the game drives were on sealed air-conditioned busses. I wish I had known to lie a little, because my shoes really needed spraying.
