Hello everyone! Got my color photos back on Friday and am enjoying the "reliving" of the great time I had in Africa. I took over 360 color images and about 400 black & white. The B&W I develop and print myself, so it will be awhile before I get through them all. I am sending copies to everyone through the mail. My hand-held, point & shoot eclipse pictures don't compare to anything anyone else took, but I like them. I managed to take only 3, and I never looked through the viewfinder! They are really nothing more than a small black dot. I may send one to Sky & Telescope to give the staff a good laugh!
Anyway, I had a wonderful time and will never forget the people I met, the friends I made, the food I ate, the music I heard, the Falls where I fell, the great roommate I had, the stars I saw, and the eclipse of a lifetime. Thanks to all.

I'll never forget your company on this trip, Maryann, with your good humor and smiling insights. I remember you talked us into giving $5 apiece to our village driver. His eyes nearly fell out of his head! And I remember the "Africa" outline you picked out with an awl, that I found Barbara using to project mini-eclipses on a screen. I'm looking forward to seeing your photos, but no hurry as I'm sure you're up to your ears in arts advising. Best of luck!

Renee

Renee, I can't take credit for Barbara's pinhole projections. All she asked me to do was outline africa on her postcard. She did all the hole punching and art direction. I have a great picture of it I will send her this week.
