Antoine, the cute guy, is an excellent dancer. And nice, too. I
love dancing with Antoine. He's a Mathematics and Philosophy major at U
Wisconsin. Antoine is writing an epic, or ode, about his father, who was
granted a barony, and founded ___ ____. He has never told me his age, but
it's definitely a prime number.
Antoine gave me a math puzzle. You have two 30-minute fuses and one match. How do you make a 45-minute timer? Antoine invited me to play Nine Man Morris. He won a game. I won a game. Then I beat Gregory. I haven't yet grasped the strategy of Nine Man Morris. I miss gaming nights. I should got o Don Woods'.
Lady Elizabeth, writes cynical poetry. Her hair is dark and crackles with life. Her poems are enthralling and say more than the poet intendes. She is exactly how I wish I was at 14. Wait, she is exactly as I was! I tell her how badly things can turn out, and urge her, "Stay good!" (*SluggyFreelance) For some reason, she enjoys trading glasses with me.
Elizabeth is grumpily "under lock and key" from a lapse
of judgment the previous year. After Antoine sprains his ankle, suddenly
"lock and key" is far less punishment! Antoine plays magic and banters
with Elizabeth. This picture doesn't her justice. They are so
sweet, Antoine and Elizabeth.
Antoine's a 2006 Pennsic Virgin. Sort of. He was born into the SCA, but
his parents only took him to Pennsic once, in his first year of life. I
ask, "Did they feel it wasn't a wholesome environment?" My camp is quite
the party camp; I know people who are less tolerant than the typical
PENNSIC-SCAdian I meet.
The Cute Guy's only flaw is bad garb.
