Once Proud Californian

I was proud to be a California native, and ashamed to be American. Today, for a change, I am proud to be an American... and ashamed to be a Californian.

No on 8. Yes on 8? I am ashamed. Do "they" pay taxes? They should marry. They love each other, just like any couple loves each other. Does it hurt you? Does it hurt you even one bit? Allow gay couples to marry. They love each other. They pay taxes. Let them marry.

I am proud to be an American, with a black man in the White House, with a new broom to sweep out the foetid nooks and crannies. I love the America that can elect Barack Obama to the presidency.

I am ashamed to be a Californian.

No on 8. Regardless of the vote tally.
